I have been getting several calls a week from this number... Which most of the time i ignore, however when I do pick up the line just goes dead. I get these nuisance calls at different times of the day and at weekends. It is really annoying

Call was 3 seconds of silence then they hung-up, assume this was an autodialler without enough agents at their end to connect me.

Automated call with message saying it was to do with tax offices and to press one, so hung up. If it was important and for me personally they would phone directly in person and even then I wouldn't trust them as its too insecure a method. Tax office posts normally.
