Caller said he was from British Gas and requested security information before he could continue call. When I refused told me that I needed to phone British Gas. I did so on a trusted number and they said could find no reason why they might have called me.

Email was littered with assurances about the sender being trusted and the contents having been scanned by a virus checker. Was for an email address I once used (only) for a pension provider.
