This landline rang us this morning with a recorded message trying to tell us our Amazon account had been hacked. Obviously ignore as all our accounts are in order. Clearly a scammer, more worrying that it is on a local landline!

Looks like a scam pretending to be from Santander as it has a link to a website.

SCAM: Received text message claiming to be from HSBC, asking me to click on a link if I did not add a new payee to my account. I do not have a bank account with HSBC and would not expect my bank to ask me to click directly on links in text messages to deal with these issues, so this is clearly a scam. I blocked the number.

Call stated that a case was registered against me with HmrC and I would be arrested if I didnt press 1.

They knew about my recent accident which is being dealt with currently. N said the third party had said they’d complained of pain in their neck ( we only clipped wing mirrors ) and that I should do the same. I obviously declined as I do not have pain. They said they were ringing on behalf of my insurance group.
