I was left a message that my apple account had a suspicious login and is now discontinued. It said to click on the link to resolve the issue, which I didn’t. Instead I went to my account and got in fine- not discontinued.

SCAM prerecorded message accusing of tax fraud. Sensing a scam I hung up before hearing more and went to search for who the number came from but found nothing.

This is my house telephone number in Oswestry Shropshire. A 90 year old lady in some distress phoned me on this number today to ask why I had been contacting her. She told me she lives in Eastbourne and had been contacted from a number purporting to be from this one asking for finacial information. I explained I had not phoned her but it was probably a phishing scam and suggested she blocked it. I feel I needed to report this scam and this number on her behalf. Scum does not adequately label these people.

Far Eastern accent, and as soon as I asked him to repeat who he said he was calling from, he hung up. I dialled the number with the prefix 141, but it did not ring out. Clearly a SCAM. Unusually for me, I then dialled the number without the prefix, and that also did not ring at all, even thoigh I had checked that my line was open. AVOID

I never take out maintenance contracts on anything as a matter of principle, as it generally works out cheaper to pay as you go, so I know this isn't true. SCAM - Apparently they were from Sky trying to test my broadband speed. Notwithstanding I am not with Sky, I asked them to tell me my own name and postcode and they hung up. How rude! I assume the next step would be to access my computer to 'fix' the issue.
