I was called this morning and I like a fool fell for the 'something wrong with my computer line' I can't believe I have been so stupid bur let them into my computer and after about an hour of instructions I agreed to pay a £99.99 payment for 4 years anti virus and software security. I have now cancelled the card I used ( not my normal bank a/c) and closed the account as well. Called three times within the space of 3 hrs, no message left. Followed up two of those calls with a text message claiming to be from "Safestyle" (who i ve not called and have no interest in, assuming it s the UPCV windors firm), quoting "Thanks for your interest. We hop to be in touch soon to arrange your free quote, etc etc" with a contact "freephone" number of 08082509604 - which if you look it up is tagged to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (aka: West Indies / Caribbean).
