Purporting to be from HMRC stating a tax fraud case is pending against my name, and instructing me to press 1 to be connected. Needless to say, I hung up and blocked the call.

The usual scammers routing calls through numbers they deem local to their victims. Why the police do not crack down on this sort of fraud, I don t know. What I do know is that DFS illegally sold these crooks my data. Getting about seven calls a week from incrimental numbers with the same area code. Strangely, all the operatives have North West accents. Having lived in Leighton Buzzard as a kid, I can t remember one Northern person, let alone an army. Scammers.
