Guy claimed to be from BT phoning sayiing problem with phone line. We said we don't have BT and they hung up,

This is obviously a scam - slight delay on answering and recorded message cut in, but as soon as it stated this is HMRC I cut off the call.
00918045708684 called 30 May 23 at 10:38hours. Female voice advised that my "visa account had been debited £1xxxx from a gambling ??? in California, press 1 to talk to our ???. or 2 to authorise payment ", hung on for a short while to hear if anything followed..... nothing so hung up.
SCAM A bunch of neglected, discarded and shameless creatures, who are a black spot on humanity. Hell bent to trouble members of public by repeated calls.

Safe number This is the number for UK Biobank.
Says they are from O2 and told me that I am getting a massive discount on my contract as I've been with them for so long. The funny thing is, I'm not even with O2 and as soon as I pointed this out (while laughing) they immediately hung up.

The woman might have been genuine but was extremely rude and gabbled on so fast I couldn't always catch what she said.
Told me they were calling from Vodafone my network provider, asked me if I was fine! terminated the call
