This call was preceeded by a call to my 88 year old mother telling her that her landline was going to be cut off. She was worried of course, and I can t help thinking that a follow up call by EE to discuss broadband is suspiciously linked to frightening her into starting a dialogue with them.
Pretending to be Virgin Media, claiming I had an internet fault, when challenged he put the phone down. Had an asian accent.

I keep getting calls around 1pm. They don't leave a message nor text me so therefore I'm not interested. I have them now on my reject call list!
Automatic machine thing talking about tax fraud
Claim to be calling from E E offering broadband service. Call originates from London city area where many scammer are based. Caution advised
Today called and said he s calling from technical service of virgin media. First told me they receive a lot of error reports sent from my router which they want to fix and then asked me to go to teamwiever.com (remote control software page) which I refused.
Telemarketing
Claimed to be cyber crime unit, then asked me if I had ever lost money in bitcoin
