An Indian/Pakistani caller who claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Scheme. He knew my number and surname. He asked whether I was receiving unwanted marketing calls. I confirmed that I was receiving unwanted calls at which point he put the phone down.
Can now confirm the call I received from BT this morning was spurious BT tell they will NEVER call you it is up to customers to contact them unless it is an official letter request They probably wanted access to my computer so they could lock it & then demand money - do not under any circumstances give them access to your computer. BT have noted the no but it is probably accessed from abroad (India) Incidentally because I was busy Jack Smith agreed with me he would call back @ 4pm needless to say he did
