I don t normally answer numbers I don t know but did this one as the dialling code is from my town and could have been my work. Number now blocked.

Do not answer. My number is registered with the MPS (Mobile Preference Service) yet they still called. Claimed that they are from Assured Legal and that they are calling about an accident I recently had (not true). As soon as I tried to explain that their records were incorrect they hung up on me. Call to my landline at 1315 on 17 May 2019. When answering a recorded message allegedly from TalkTalk told me my broadband internet connection would be terminated today unless I called their number. I did not respond and terminated the call.

Had a call from this number telling me they were from Microsoft and there was a problem with our computer. Could we log on etc. Told them to phone back later - They haven t. No idea if it is genuine!

Back again, they phoned my mobile yesterday and today my landline. Local garage had my contact numbers 2 years ago when I bought a car. In the past has just been postal advertising. The number is in Runcorn so misrepresentation of fact! Answered the phone with what are you selling, told them not to phone again as I don t want to buy a car. Must be a call centre in Runcorn, annoyed that local garage has sold or is using contact details for reasons beyond the original sale!!!

Pension review - The welsh accented caller advised that I hadn t had a pension review recently . She knew my name. I advised her that I hadn t opted in for these sort of calls, and besides she was obviously lying about the state of my pension. She told me I HAD opted in as she knew this ! I asked her where she obtained my details and she told me from a company called Digital Marketing . I then asked her the name of HER company so I could issue a formal complaint, at which point she hung up.

They ve bought an out of date list of names and numbers and are calling purporting to be a legal team. They asked by name for someone who used to use this number > 10 years ago.
