frightening alert came up on our computer saying our IP address had been compromised and do not shut down the computer as all would be lost. Very loud and threatening. Asked to ring this number. Rang and was answered by someone with Indian accent. When questioned he put down the phone but then someone else phoned back. Decided it was a scam so switched off computer - left it 5 mins then switched back on and changed our passwords. BEWARE!
Alpine Services called me saying I had been involved in a motor accident, which of course I had not. Phishing. They are NOT CONNECTED in any way to Alpine Insurance Services Ltd of Hadleigh Essex, who have traded reputable for over 30 years and never made these type of nuisance calls.
