When this number rang, I remained silent until someone spoke. When I asked who was calling, he answered with the name of a broadband provider (didn t catch the name). I asked how he got my number as I m ex-directory, he claimed that it was because I had done a survey on broadband services. I haven t. He then said that it was because I d been used a broadband comparison site. I haven t. He asked if I was the account holder, and I told him that I wasn t giving him any information (twice). Fraud
Unable to hear the speaker, could have been a scouser, we had two of the creeps walking round the area sometime ago. As I could not make out what it wanted it was advised to bugger off.
Private number
This number called, but when I answered there was no-one there and the auto-dialler hung up!! I called them back and an answering machine said the company was RTA Legal Advice....

They are not a legal agency they promise you to film. Once you pay they do not call you. SCAM!!!
This person called and asked for Miss Mandy. I am male. He apologised and said he d take my name of the list. Since I ve had a lot of calls for Miss Mandy in recent months from all over the UK I m not optimistic.
TAXES / HMRC
Being a resident of Wigan Borough I answered this Wigan number (01942) in case it was something important. Caller identified themselves as Insurance Review, saying I needed to review my Life Insurance, they mentioned the panel of insurers they work on behalf of and said they give impartial advice . I can t say whether they are legitimate or not, but seems like they re just a 3rd party sales/referral channel for these insurers. Probably nothing more than an irritation, but I would avoid giving details
