selling insulation and new boilers, after explained I did not want any the caller very rudely cleared. 10 minutes later the same company phoned on a witheld number

Is this a call centre number? As it seems to have a local code

these are scumbags, when roaming answering these calls costs a fortune, isnt it illegal, if I find the MD I will cut his throat

Also used a comparison site for van insurance - they have phoned three times today, the first time I answered, no one there so I am ignoring from now on. I also will not be using comparison sites either.

Several calls a week, no record of previous conversations. I have told them to stop calling me but they continue.

They re not UK numbers, so UK authorities have no jurisdiction over where or who they are.

Female caller asks whether I ve been in an accident (FYI - this is not a real person, just a very cleverly recorded message that is only triggered by the words Hello and Yes ) put through to a bloke asking whether I d been in an car accident...pretended to not hear him very well and wound him up a bit before he put the phone down on me!

A "UK Consumers Survey" call, they have my name, and he just carried on (as if really hates his own job) try to verify my personal information which I ve then stopped him and he simply hanged up. DO NOT SAY YOU ARE THAT PERSON --- From now on, my first greeting to any caller would be questioning them. Now I may get even more spam calls by giving out that they have valid information. A man with an Asian accent claimed to be from the Internet Security Department of BT, reporting a problem with my computer. I just told him that I am not with BT (true) and can t understand why BT didn t know that, and I hung up. This change of approach could be dangerous though because those with a BT connection might think it is genuine.

An automated message - has called me numerous times over the past week. I ve tried pressing 9 to opt out. Makes no difference at all, so this time spoke to someone by pressing 5 . Apparently they will remove my number -takes up to 48 hours. Definately the most persist nuisance call I ve ever had.

This is a false phone number. As at Jun 2017, only 0239 (Portsmouth) and 0238 (Southampton) are valid.

Called today and ulikely to originate from the UK based on the poor line. The person kept using my first name (i.e., Mr A***).
