I have received a call from an older gentleman promising me petrol vouchers and subscription to a magazine for £1 charged off my bank card. He proceeded to try and convince me about how safe this was, blurring out the company details and address, stating the call is recorded and saying he only need the card number so I should be really safe.When I hesitated he became more and more persistent regarding the safety and this being one time only offer with only this caller being able to offer me this deal. This number called me asking me to confirm details of an accident that wasn’t my fault I had to ask them them who was calling twice before telling me some name of maybe riverside something or other, I cannot remember I told them I hadn’t been in touch with them and that any reputable company would have introduced themselves and asked for me by name. I asked them to confirm who they thought they were speaking to and they rudely hung up.
Didn t leave a message. Googled the number, seems to be the old (and tired) Amazon Prime scam.

This is a scam number pretending to be Amazon UK. They pretended that i had mistakenly signed up for 'their' yearly subscription and stated i they were due to take 79.99 out of my account today if i did not cancel immediately. They stated that they could sort this out online and that I may be due a refund. I asked them to call back and contacted Amazon service desk who explained that they had never called me and that i was still subscribed on monthly terms. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR DETAILS.
