Suspected scam. I had a call from 07932918018 this morning. A recorded message said I had unusual transactions on my bank account. I was than put through to an "operative" who asked for my name and date of birth. I hung up at this point and will check with my bank.
Fraud. Used number to fraudulently obtain goods on credit using my details.

They were waiting for me to press naturally did NOT and I held till they put down their phone and then I put down mine. Certainly a SCAM as I have no account in US

This number calls me every day with two or three times at about 10 minute intervals. They never leave any messages. Clearly they know that I would not wish to speak to them. They seem associated with another number 07482874785 which also calls each day with the same pattern and often one number makes its calls and is then followed 10 to 15 minutes later by the sequence from the other number.

Claimed to be from Virgin, calling about internet. Got increasingly frustrated with me when I said I didn’t recognise the number and would call Virgin myself. Didn’t believe the guy with Indian accent and I hung up when he wouldn’t go away. Scary as it sounded like a big call centre in the background and it would be easy to get sucked in. Hope everyone hangs up and karma catches up with what I believe are scammers.

Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . This number is being used for a scam. This number called claiming to be the bank & said two large payments had been drawn from my account- one for Amazon & one international payment . I ended the call without pressing any phone keys, then phoned my bank on a trusted number: they said my account was fine & the call had been a scam.
Call supposed to be Amazon telling me someone had just spent £700 but they put a hold on it because they thought it was suspicious, it requested that I should press 1 for info. This was an automated call so I politely(not) said go away and I hung up
