I believe this is a scam they send me a text message saying this "To keep your giffgaff services running, sign in below and follow the steps immediately. https://ggteam.co". Could obviously tell since the link looks odd. Don't follow the link, nor reply to the text nor call them.

Claimed to be financial investigation team, telling me that the have found $11,000 of my missing money. I am British so my currency is British pound sterling. The number cam through as a London area number. After arguing with the man that I was not giving account or personal information to him on the phone he put the phone down on me.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. This number called me several times, but the call went silent. I called the number back (located in Shetlands) and I was put in to a queue which kept saying "Your call is important to us, please hold for the next available agent". After waiting for almost 4 minutes I hung up. This is probably another scam caller who has been banned from every other UK city so now they ve been forced to set up shop in the Shetlands. I ve now blocked the number.
