SCAM This was almost definitely a scam of some kind. The caller spoke with accented English in a location with a huge amount of background chatter. He claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse offering very low prices on iPhone, Samsung and Huawei mobile phones. I do not think it was actually Carphone warehouse, as I have never provided my details to them and I would expect they had a call centre environment that sounded a bit less like the outside of a busy London pub on a sunny evening.
Very hard sales tactics and don?t take no for an answer. When I explained that I didn?t want the insurance, his tone changed and wouldn?t stop trying to convince me that I was being ridiculous for not wanting it. Thankfully, I didn?t give in but as others have said, others could easily feel obliged to. Appalling service and it nearly put me off using AO because of it. Claimed to be financial investigation team, telling me that the have found $11,000 of my missing money. I am British so my currency is British pound sterling. The number cam through as a London area number. After arguing with the man that I was not giving account or personal information to him on the phone he put the phone down on me.

It s a company ringing about debts they think you may have had or have and they try to reference your connection to a survey or some search you ve done possibly connected to you looking for the best credit cards available. Very busy call centre with lots of other people in the background so difficult to hear everything.
