Fraud: This was a text received stating someone was trying to change recipient details on an HSBC account and they wanted me to confirm details and authenticity. However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. They called me and they said that they was calling from Microsoft Windows Security about a problem with my pc. I don t have any problem and I didn t ask any assistence. So I think it is a scam.

Steve is correct, it is Bauer Media. If you ve entered your number online somewhere for a free magazine (I d asked for Marie Claire / Instyle) then they re calling for your address. Theyll also offer you 3 issues for £1.00. Spoke to a lovely lady and she asked if I wanted future calls for offers and so I said no. It s all legit. However, they need to work on their employees... I had another call minutes later from a guy there who was on the phone to someone else!!

I received email regarding delayed deliver on 2 consecutive days. Didn t call as something felt wrong. 6 days later I thought I d google the number and as it transpires it s a cost trap. Don t phone it. If there s genuine reason, a company will always get back back in touch.
