This is a scam caller pretending to be from a Lyca phone provider offering cheap contracts, the company they are pretending to be are Mobiles.co.uk. They tried offering me a £35 contact for 24 months for a Samsung S23 ultra, which was too good to be true worked out at (£840.00). This is a scam where they pretend to be BT and will give you te above number to call with an id code to verify their authenticity. They tell you they want to shut down your Broadband for 5 days due to errors - blah blah. Probably after they will try to get access to your pc in some way. Don t know cos I crashed out and phoned BT who said it was a scam.

A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.
