Paid number Fraud SPAM SCAM - received a missed call and no voicemail. Dialled back as was expecting a different call, yet got charged an automatic premium rate without an answer.

Fraud A recorded message from ‘visa debit’ about a fraudulent transaction… I pressed 1 out of curiosity and a female with Indian accent said her name was Annie Wilson. I asked her what company . She said Visa.. She could not expand … obviously a lying, cheating, disgusting thief. BLOCKED

01420 563233 called using my name and was obviously from India area. He reckoned he was speaking from Amazon and wanted to talk about an iphone I had ordered at about £740 apparently. Told him to get off the line or I will report him to the police. No doubt what the scam is he wasn't going to do it on me.

Just had a text message from this number, claiming to be from my eldest child. Stated Hey Dad, this is my new number, my phone just broke. You can delete my old number and save this one. I have a spare phone now, tried to call you earlier because I need your help, but I can only text at the moment due to this phone. I asked who it was. They replied, "your eldest child". They will take your details and sell you Eastern Europeans who then in turn sell you to Albanians who then in turn will sell you to an IVA introducer who will then it turn sell you to an Insolvency Practitioner as a packaged case. SPAM: I don't know anyone in OMAGH, N. Ireland. When I answered there seemed to be no one there, then a male voice said 'Hello?' - so I said 'Petunias?' and he put the phone down on me. (I never say 'Hello' or 'Yes' but say a word like 'Petunias' to confuse the caller. It seems to work!)

SCAM - asked about our BT contract, we do not have BT, when I advised and told him it was a scam he was abusive!

Automated call stating that an official letter from HMRC tax is on route to me and legal action is being taken. Asks you to press 1 to speak to an official representative. Got to be a scam, I'm employed by the NHS and all my tax & National insurance is sorted by them. Blocked the number, I'll worry when the "official letter" turns up!

This was from a rude and abusive man with very poor English who claimed he was from carphone warehouse and when I said I wasn't interested he said he was also a police officer and was going to find out where I lived and beat me up, he was screaming abuse at me. This was entirely unprovoked as I am a very polite pensioner who never shouts and swears, I would recommend everyone to do as I have done and block this number.

Received an automated phone call fom this number saying I'd had two amounts of money removed from my account. No money has gone missing. Do not reply to the message.

Voice message claiming to be from visa security saying you have unusual transactions from eBay and PayPal. The offers a menu to connect to an operator. Scam attempt.

This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.

Phones and cuts off when you answer expecting you to call back at some exorbitant rate. Not happening!
