They say they are calling from PC World and Curry's currently had 8 phone calls from them, sounds like a scam.
We were awaiting a phone call from our GP. This number rang and when we called back it said there would be a charge to connect if we dialled 3. The number was dead!!! We can only hope we have not been charged.

Asian voice claiming to be called Richard from Global Pension Advisors who knew my name. When he asked me how I was I put the phone down. Reasons...he wasn t called Richard, anybody calling me about pensions is likely to be a scam or at least something I am not vaguely interested in, all scammers seem to "ask how are you today" and my phone is listed with TPS.

SCAM number showed as 01942794042 however, it was definitely from a call centre and the female voice started the call with "thank-you for connecting with BT" which seemed odd. Turns out it was one of those dodgy activity on your internet connection calls - as usual I denied having and internet connection a mobile phone and even a landline. I just rang this number as I had recieved several call from it one after another. The call rang a few times and rang out. Still no wiser!
I called NatWest on their official telephone banking number who confirmed that this is an automated fraud prevention text alert. It was used to verify a suspicious transaction on my account with a simple Yes or No reply to the text. They state they will never ask for personal details on a text. Genuine number.

Checked number elsewhere as no comments here. Some say British gas (number on their website) re smart meters, some say call disconnected if you ask questions, some say messages received like from aliens...? I don t know but would like to bar these calls. Going for 5 as not sure what it really is!
