I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. I have replied my name is correct but I didn t met any accident and applying claims. Asian man called "John" said he was from Sky and that my "equipment insurance had been expired". I don;t have Sky and never have, so its an obvious scam to get you to pay them for non-existant insurance
SCAM- Phishing scam: robocall with American accent saying that I have been charged for an Amazon prime account and to press 1 to cancel. I already have Amazon prime and it’s paid in July. I checked online and’s this is a known phishing scam.

Caller initially claimed to be calling from the University of Sussex, asking me to undertake an online research survey. Then they wanted our email address, and I enquired why was that necessary if the survey was online - all they needed to do was provide me with the web address. The caller later later confirmed they were an independent market research company , and continued to ask for my email address. Of course, I never provided it.

When asked which bank were refunding charges just repeated UK Financial Services. Told me they would cancel cheque if I didn t give date of birth. I said that would be fine and hung up. Its time uk phone numbers were stopped from being given to overseas callers.
