Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8439418xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?

The caller asked to talk to my wife and when i asked for the name of the company he said EWT, I simply said that i had not heard of the company and he hung up. No reputable company would do that, there is no excuse.

Did not catch the name but said she was could claim back interest that had been wrongly charged to all my bank accounts and building society accounts over the past 20 yrs due to a new government ruling. She knew my name and address and telephone number, although she did get the postcode wrong. Did not correct her. Asked her to put the info in writing as was wary of any cold callers. She said OK and hung up. Interested to see if any info comes through the post!!
