Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)

Fraud - Asian call centre - saying suspicious activity had been found on my Virgin media broadband.

I was called yesterday by quite a polite guy asking me how much I pay for Broadband I said I was unsure and he told me about a Sky package that would cost me 19month with no set up fees and would include Broadband 350 channels including Sky Entertainment Package Netflix and Discovery Plus After 18 months it would increase unless I telephoned them I said I would need to think about it and he said I will arrange a quotcallbackquot tomorrow Today I was called back but alarm bells rung and then he hung up

Just had a call from 01430860504. Automated message supposedly from my bank. Said there was 2 transactions on my account. £250 to Amazon and £1300 to a money transfer company. I have one of these calls every month. SCAMMERS.

This number rang my Mobile which is only know to a few people. I was told it was HMRC and if i didn't send some paper work i would be liable to prosecution. Told to press option one to speak to some one did so and the person on the end said something like thank you for calling !!!! didn't understand the last bit. I commented I didn't call you did, it then went quiet. I hung up. Both voices were certainly not UK English in speakers. Don't trust this phone number think it's a scam

SCAM - A man called "Mark Ryan" claiming to be from Derby County Court with a High Court Writ out against your business for an unpaid amount of almost £4000. Threatening to be at the business property within 60 minutes to seize goods if payment can't be made. Made it sound as though he was trying to save himself the journey. Automated "suspicious activity" message, mentioned £1000 foreign transfer. I let them talk to my answering machine and ignored. Interestingly, had another call 10 mins later, this time from 01732 896820 - they hung up immediately my machine kicked in. Probably the same scammer using different numbers??
