Received call on poor quality line from a company that sounded like "Forward Life" - despite number being registered with the TPS.

Guy spoke -very fast- perfect English. Claimed to work for Connect / Openreach / Plusnet and wants to save me 35%. I always put the phone down on such charitable calls from unknown individuals.

I had a missed call from this number but had also received an email from VERY as they hadn t been able to complete my order. The email informed me that they would try to phone me as well. No worries with this number.

I had a call from this number and was instantly suspicious. I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. Like most people, I am suspicious of individuals whose language skills are a lot less than mine and have a heavy accent. Rang off after phone had rang only once, rang again seconds later & phone rang only twice, then rang again after a few seconds & phone rang only 3 times - VERY annoying. Just ignored all 3 calls.

I got call from this number yesterday, no message was left. I just got another call and from this number 0161 416 6212 but it was silent for 30 seconds then I hung up.

I was called today and it looks like a potential scam

Just got a call from this number. The caller siad he was from the Call Blocking Service and claimed that they will stop the nuiscance calls you receive - for just ?40! I heard of this kind of scam before and ironically enough I m already registered with TPS - which is free, by the way. It s clearly a scam since these kind of services are usually free and don t require your credit card information.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from.
