Well said, Anonymous, and not only is it spam but JB s post states that numbers after the 0118 code do not start with a 0.

They phoned me to say they were Microsoft Specials. Told me my PC had a fault - possibly Virus Infected - and first tried to access my PC via Teamviewer. This did not work so i was told to visit www.ammyy.com. Here they did gain access and I sat back to watch the mouse pointer open and close multiple files etc. Much file info was Transfered and after sometime they phoned again to ask if the PC now worked faster,,,,Answer was, "NO". Its Vanquis Bank chasing payments. When they cant raise you on their usual numbers they get sneaky and divert via an STD code local to you.Its a bit sneaky but they do have a genuine reason for needing to talk with you

I had letters and calls from Taurus which I stupidly ignored. I was taken to Court and at the hearing a hearing a gentleman advised me to discuss debt issues. He said Taurus Debt Recovery have a lot of account holders on benefits and they have a friendly and supportive team. I would encourage anyone with debts with them to talk to Taurus. If you don t contact them they will issue court claims and or issue bankruptcy.

Claiming to be from microsoft. Saying there is a problem with computer.

Was called by this number several times, when i tried to call it back i just got a recorded message, it did not say who the caller was. However a week or so later i received a letter from Yorkshire Water saying they wanted to change my water meter and it had this number on the letter.

"Greenpeace" their website says they don't do cold calls. Blocked

They ring and hang within few rings. I have now bared there number keep ring all times of night not a happy vinnie
