The recorded message was trying very hard to convince me to press 1 because there is something very wrong with my national insurance number!!!

Caller pretends to be from BT: multiple foreign users are using your IP address. Caller knows name, address, BT a/c no., mobile no., bank sort code and last four digits of bank a/c no.. Validation code is sent to mobile (BT website states that a One Time PIN is only sent when customer calls BT). Caller passes to senior colleague who instructs to run “command prompt” on computer (“netstat”) to show list of all the unknown users. Then wants you to run a download from a “bit.do” website (DON’T!) - ended call.
Apparently I have been involved in YET ANOTHER road traffic accident!
