The caller said his name was Terrence from Frank Gallo solicitors he then gave me the website his 5 digit employee number and then also gave me a 5 digit reference number. He said I had been miss-sold loans he said about 10 different companies which raised a flag, he said I was due compensation and they would claim the money from me. Said they were from CarphoneWarehouse. Offered me a deal on an iPhone 13. I said I had recently started a contract so wasn't interested. She said they would buy out my current contract and also were not trying to get me on a conract either. Sounded super scammy!
SCAM. Legit No. Obviously spoofed and being used by a bank scammer. Call opens with the 'Your account has been debited £X thousand' gambit. THE LEGITIMATE OWNER OF THE PHONE NUMBER IS NOT INVOLVED IN SCAMMING.
