Fake phone call from hmrc revenue and customs saying the gov was taking legal action against me an to press a number to sort it out. Defo a scam. Don’t trust

2 scam calls. Both recorded message about 2 charges on "bank card". First call said charge was from Amazon (£300). Second charge from overseas (£1000). Both false.

Recorded message which claimed to be from a bank regarding fraudulent payments on a card but did not specify which bank they were from, which card or ask for our names, asked to press 1 to close payment or 2 for help - very dodgy so hung up

Only annoying as I text the number to say i would phone number back i did i did not leave a voice message and there have not got back to me. And on this site the number does say s UK number but just not the real location of the number.
