Asian man claiming to be from sky, saying my broadband router was over heating and I should run a speed test. Refused to do at the present time. Said he would ring back tomorrow. Will ignore the call. Other scams have been reported by Sky.
They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. I received a recorded message from this number, a robotic voice informed me that there were unusual transactions on my bank card and two amounts were mentioned. Then I was asked to press 1 to check the details of the purchase, I did not press any response button, but deleted the message and checked on this facility. It seems to be a scam trying to make contact with my account.

A neighbour received the same call, and was taken in, passed on to another person and gave bank card numbers (He has now alerted his bank). DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. Put down the phone.

Got called twice by this number, the first was ignored, however 6 hours later I received a call from the same number. Answered by “hello” an automated Beep activated and a robotic “goodbye” came along and the call disconnected. No idea what it means, I suppose a potentially scam or fraud number.
