Scam
SCAM - this number is contained in a scam text for mum to text on new number
Had three calls from this number. Supposedly Amazon saying I owe £96 for an expired Prime membership. Never used Prime. Checked with Amazon who have never requested this fee.
Claiming to be from UK Tariff and that Sky customers have been overpaying their accounts and they want to check my payments are OK. They asked when I last made changes and as it is a new account I said I hadn't made changes. They asked how long I have had the account and I said I wasn't comfortable sharing that info. He asked why and I said he was calling from a random number and how do I know who he is. He said "Well I don't know. How DO you know who I am, I am calling from UK Tarrif." I hung up.
Scam call? Missed call. No voicemail left. Number does not dial when phoned back. Very strange.
Annoying
SCAM - claimed to be from back wanting me to confirm two transactions asked to confirm the transactions or report them by pressing 2 - My bank would never do such a thing
I do not know anyone in Edinburgh nor am I dealing with any company/organisation in Edinburgh! The caller did not leave a message which leaves me to think it was either. Scam or someone selling something. Either way, it was an unwanted phone call.
Home Smart Guides How to Filter Unknown or Unwanted Texters From Your iMessages How to Filter Unknown or Unwanted Texters From Your iMessages GeorgeJul 14 Did you know that you separate iMessages from people not in your contacts and not be notified about it? You can, and it's really easy! You might be wondering why you would want to do this and there are probably a couple reasons. Maybe you've just gone through a break up, and you want your ex out of sight and out of mind.
(SCAM) RECEIVED TEXT MASSAGE CLAIMING TO BE FROM APPLE PAY & REPORTED NO TO MY MOBILE NO 7726. JUST PASSING ON.
Claiming to be O2. I've had no way to verify, so I refuse to deal with them. Mike, with a thick Indian accent. Given O2 are a service provider, I would expect simply O2 to appear as the caller ID
Safe number
SCAM! They send texts pretending to be a relative with a new mobile number asking for money. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

Fraud
SCAM - 'WORKS' with HSBC & BARCLAYS! Want to know if you do CFX and can he send rates to comare. Gets quite cross and a bit abusive when I said no.
The caller asks about what phone brand you own and how much monthly you pay for your mobile plan, tells you it is too expensive, and then offers you a 40% discount for a different plan, and tries to get your personal details. To me looks like a scam scheme.
