Saying from the tax office and to press 1 to speak to someone scam
Some Foreign sounding idiot who spoke a language I have no idea about, then puts the phone down, pathetic
A man called me and said that he calls for a survey. I said ok, but after few questions I understood that he wanted my personal informations, so I asked to finish the survey and I hung up the phone.
I just received a call from this number with a recorded message which stated that the caller was from HMRC and that a tax fraud case had been reported against my name (but did not say my name) and if I did not press 1 immediately, a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested. It is quite obviously a scam. DO NOT PRESS 1.

This number called me in the evening. It is my policy NOT to pick up unknown numbers but to let the answering machine kick while I listen.They claim they needed to take my meter readings (which I had submitted to my supplier by text 2 weeks ago and received an immediate acknowledgement of receipt) Contacted my supplier who said they had no knowledge of or dealings with this company. If this is a scam I can t see what they are hoping to achieve, but with my provider s agreement I m blocking this number
