Scumbags phoned my parents re insurance to get bank account numbers for scamming. Unfortunately very convincing and leading to upset and hours spent at the bank

SPAM or SCAM +44 07880235381 It appears that it is a registered commercial phone number, they phoned me on my WhatsApp twice, and when asked them why called me, the message showed read but they did not respond.
The caller was saying they are from the HMRC about an outstanding case.
An automated message comes up saying the call is from HM Revenue & Customs, gives you a case file number, and says if you ignore the call, you will face legal applications. Then asks you to press 1 to speak to an adviser. The advisor distantly says she is calling from the HMRC and asks for your name. When I asked her where are you calling from again, she hung up.
More calls from the tynesdie area, telesales, maybe the AA as I have not renewed my membership recently and I keep recieving insurance pest letters.
It s interesting how everyone has started complaining here in the month of october, maybe this is to do with the talktalk scandal...who knows
