Called, but wouldn t say what their company name was. Had my name wrong (surname as first name, middle name as surname)! Claimed to have been passed my number by a public sector - which one they wouldn t divulge. Reading through the above, however, and despite their reluctance to give information, I think it s a genuine call (reported a crime to the police, which was solved). Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 14138002xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with telemarketing calls - Scottish Power, debts and loans... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
