Caller said my electrical insurance, covering white goods, was due for renewal . I don t have any such insurance. She wanted me to give the expiry date of my debit card to "confirm" my details. I gave a false date which she was able to confirm. Remarkable! She then wanted my 16-digit card number. I asked her to give me the number so I could confirm with her.
