Asking if I have a burglar alarm. Stating the police no longer respond. I informed him I am on the Telephone Preference list and he said he would take me off his database but still persisted with his sales pitch. I had to stop the conversation and say "good bye"! Do not tell him if you have an alarm or give your address. Could be a scam. I cannot find any listing of this phone number on the internet relating to a company - genuine or otherwise.

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - mostly with PPI, insurance marketing. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

A woman with a Middlesborough accent tried to interest me in solar panels, saying she was from The Energy Reduction Company. When I asked how she got my number she said it was on their database & when I told her I was registered with TPS she said she d get it removed - but I doubt it as I ve been called by this number before, though not giving the same company name.
