Had this number call a few times, yes it's part of Halifax but it's one of many of their areas - it could be birmingham midshires mortgage. It's not a scam. The reason you can't call the number back is it's a number set up not to accept incoming calls - many banks/mortgage companies etc have them now adays. Yes sometimes it's an Asian person, sometimes it's an English person - I'd love to know how you know though that they're muslim! Just because you can't call the numbeer back doesn't = scam.
