This number has been calling my spare PAYG mobile, it's a Tesco mobile and the number has never been given out to anyone as we never use it, it's purely for emergencies and is on a different network to our contract phones. I usually just hang up on these calls but decided to answer this one, it was a call for my wife whose name is on the Tesco clubcard we used to activate this phone, the man was very polite, I told him we had already claimed our PPI, he thanked me and hung up.

Asian/Indian sounding man rang at 6pm 15/01/18 and wanted to know if I had received my local Comet paper in the past few weeks. Stupidly I though it odd but as he mentioned my local paper I presumed genuine. I told him I hadn't received any. He then checked the street name with me and mumbled a house number which I couldn't distinguish. I didn't give him my house number but confirmed the street. Having tried to ring the number this morning it is not valid and now reading these posts I can see it is a scam.
Seven times in ten days! Won’t be using them because of this. This is my busiest time of year and this is unwanted added stress.
