Called by an obviously Indian person - pretending to be calling from a spoofed Manchester number. Thus I had no interest in listening to what he was babbling on about. Not that I could understand him anyway. Something about eBay and Amazon stores. Blocked.
They claim they are from the Amex fraud team, and told you that your Amex account is scammed and tried to help you block your Amex account. They also told you your iPhone is hacked and all your information in iCloud is in another phone, so all your bank accounts are in danger and you need to block all your bank accounts, and asked you what other bank accounts you have. IMPORTANT!!!! AWARE!!! They will ask you to download an app from Anydesk.com, DON'T do it. This is an app for them to control your mobile
I’ve had a message today ( looks like half the country has as well ) from this number which I believe is a scam. It states my delivery was delivered yet I have no deliveries exited. I would not open this message just delete it.

Fraud A man with a heavy accent told me that someone tried to draw money from my account. He did not give a bank name or anything else. I asked him to repeat his first phrase that came without a greeting or any other polite introduction. Not his name, not an organisation. I interrupted him to tell him that I knew exactly what kind of fraud he was trying on me and he broke the connection at once. The number seems to be in the Manchester area.

Silent call. Received a call from (07458 148209) on my mobile, although very few people know my mobile number. When I managed to answer there was nothing to be heard from the caller's end so I assumed it was some dodgy scammer. I believe it is a scam. I blocked it as a nuisance call which I can only do on my landline. It kept ringing me every 15 minutes. No answer when I managed to pick up the call.

Phoned my landline on 20 Jan. 2023 pertaining to be from Amazon Prime and stating that they had taken £94 from my bank account. I was offered a number of options to query this but hung up as it was obviously a hoax call. Amazon Prime would not contact in this way. They tried again on 21 Jan., this time from a different number 01216834924.

SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Stupidly, I clicked on the link, and entered card details for Postage of a PCR. RBS got in touch and cancelled the card, although 2 large transactions had been attempted. DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN ANY SMS OR ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
