This number called me after I had placed a request for a tradesperson to do some work for me. His accent sounded very artificial as if it wasn’t his normal accent. He may have been genuine but I don’t think he was. It is showing as a number from Russia and I live in the UK. He said he would come this evening to look at the work that need to be done. He would not take any details about where I live but wanted me to text them to him. I have read that 0738 is associated with scam calls so did not text.

I just got called by a bloke from this number basically asking details of an accident I had and trying to "get me a second cheque" for personal injuries. He didnt want to answer any of my questions and eventually hung up.

SCAM They left a voicemail saying something about me not being able to use my national insurance number anymore. The voicemail was a digital voice and the message was incomplete. Tried calling back as I always like to wind them up but they didn't answer. I've blocked their number and if it was genuine then I'm sure they'll find another way to communicate with me.

get 1 of these calls everyday!! always starting with 0161 then sometimes a different ending number but always about claiming back PPI or my recent car accident!!EVERY call I end demanding they remove my number from there database!!sometimes this is when they either hang up on me or apologise and wish me a nice day!!
