Had a call from this number purporting to be an energy supplier. Hung up and then Googled the number and saw this site, as well as the site below on the search results from a news article stating to get a refund on a cancelled cruise to contact ABTA on this number. Something obviously isn't right with it, so blocked it and advise anyone else to do the same.

This is probably a cloned number! I received call from this number on my landline. It was a scam call (live not recorded) purporting to be from BT internet about my internet line. I do not subscribe to any BT products, therefore considered it to be a scam. Could hear background noise as per a call centre.

Fraud - claimed to be welsh government doing a survey on employment but the gov know my household is not employed due to sickness and being a full time carer The only companies are HMRC and DWP you should speak to, and they rarely call you without a letter to inform. Or, a letter reccomending to call them to resolve an issue. DO NOT TRUST. They will try collecting personal information.

I just got a call claiming (falsely) to be from this number, claiming (again falsely) that it was BT Openreach (or something). SCAM. They attempt to sell you courses for over £2,000 and insult you if you refuse to buy them. If you ask regards product they have no technical knowledge, but they will keep repeating it's certified while is not.
Spencer from The Energy Support Hub on 02922 229968 called me today. A sales scam as far as I am concerned. Carefully worded opening sales pitch offers Home Owners with a Gas boiler over 7 years old or more a replacement boiler at no additional cost to them, or some such spiel. What the Sales team deliberately fail to mention in the opening spiel is that the cost of the boiler is met through the up to 50% saving on the Home Owners annual gas bill. This only becomes clear some way into the call.

Claiming to be Hammersmith police station over bank card fraud, check lots of bank acc details, then say when the call is finished a dialling tone sounds and to dial one's bank customer advice. This takes you through to another fraudster claiming to be your bank who takes more details then says they are transferring you to the serious fraud office. 10/03/22 at 10.37am. I answered with hello. A man said; "I'm fine and if somebody has complained about me I'm fine. Goodbye" He then hung up. He sounded angry. I have no idea what this call was about. To-date (in the 27 years I have had this number) I have never had a 'wrong number' type of call, as far as I am aware it is not similar to any local business/official numbers!
Fraud, recorded message, something about card transactions with Amazon for £300 and another international one for £1,300, asking you to press 1 to allow these to go ahead. This is in my view very dangerous.
