My internet connection is not supplied by BT so I strung them along as long as possible leaving them hanging on whilst I did other jobs - if they are wasting time with me they are having less time to scam others.

SCAM / SPAM. Received a text message this morning, claiming they were Loveholidays, Loveholidays only offer a live chat service. There are also claims that there are scam callers. Please don't believe these people! If you're waiting for a refund from loveholidays, the refund will automatically go on the card you paid with, so there's no reason for them to ask for your card details.
