I received a call from this number saying that there is a lawsuit against my name and I needed to pay £1500+. I quickly asked him why not HRMC send my home a letter instead of a phone call (usually they send letters or emails). The person who was on the line was speaking in broken English (or acquired English accent). I do not yet know if that was a fake call, but asked him to send me a letter to my home with all the details.

They start with an indistinct recording of my name and address, then switch to another recording inviting me to confirm or deny same by pressing 1 or 2 on my phone. Have ignored the requests as there has been no info given as to who is calling. Number obtained via 1471.

I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. I have replied my name is correct but I didn t met any accident and applying claims.
