SCAM. Indian accent, hectic indian call centre background, typical scammers, they said they recieved word this morning from the UK government that I was in debt. Caller claimed they were calling because my Beko washing machine warranty had expired. I don t have a Beko washing machine. I gave this incorrect information to a unwanted cold call last week (Indian caller, UK Preference, claiming they were doing a survey). They have obviously passed my details to this company.

Claiming to be from Opus saying that another business had received our meter reading on their bill and were complaining about the high amount they were being asked to pay. Given that our electricity usage is very low, this doesn't seem a likely scenario. Could not satisfactorily answer why if they had made a meter reading cock-up it was anything to do with us. Why would we need to be involved at all? Told them I was suspicious of the call and hung up.
