Female, Asian accent. Stated name was Crystal. Calling from BT(?) The internet connection to the property would be cut-off in 48 hours unless a PC procedure was followed as per instructions. The reason given - Cyber criminals were using an open port on a PC to distribute malware. Upon stating I thought Firewall protected the PC from such abuse, the call was dropped. I'm presuming this is a scam with intent to gain access to BT account info & PC data.

I spoke to someone, can t remember her name. I don t normally take cold calls however I m glad I did as they saved me over ?200 on my electric. I won t be in a hurry to speak to cold callers in the future however I ve stored this number and would be happy for an energy every year.

When I picked up the phone I was told I was being called as I had had an accident. It wouldn't have been me anyway as I had answered my wife's mobile phone !! I asked who the company who the company was... I had an answer mumbled back at me... Then asked whether I would like to discuss the accident - I asked who had asked that the company call me.... and the caller hung up ! Technique - asked them a question, every time they ask you one !!
