This is my house telephone number in Oswestry Shropshire. A 90 year old lady in some distress phoned me on this number today to ask why I had been contacting her. She told me she lives in Eastbourne and had been contacted from a number purporting to be from this one asking for finacial information. I explained I had not phoned her but it was probably a phishing scam and suggested she blocked it. I feel I needed to report this scam and this number on her behalf. Scum does not adequately label these people.

This is a company called Allez (not sure of the spelling) who call from numerous land line numbers in relation to PPI. They get their numbers from a database which collects numbers from competition entries, i.e. no connection at all to PPI.

Called the number back and a lady with a northern accent answered and insisted she had not called me. She advised that she couldn't have called me as she had been in the Doctors getting her Covid vaccine. This is the 4th time I have received a call from a number beginning 07904 632 XXX to find someone on the other end who has no idea they have called and insist they haven't.
