I have received 2 computer generated messages about an Amazon account from this number. On the surface it appears to be a local number but I believe it is a scam.

SCAM premium rate number does not appear on my call log. Charged £22 for 5 mins and no record on my phone of this number.

A very non-English sounding person called “Jake” called claiming to be from EE asked me what type of mobile I had - if he were truly from EE he would have had that information already. Hung up!

This UK mobile number called my mobile and it was an automated voice saying it was about my "Visa OR Mastercard" (which one?) and that £600 had been spent on it 15 minutes ago. Press 1 to stop the payment. I did not press anything and hung up.

SCAM The caller was a recording with a female voice with American/Canadian accent. She told me she was from security at my bank card (no account name or bank) and I had £10,000 taken from my account and £2000 by PayPal. If I was not aware of these transactions I should press button 1. This call is identical to many others I have received with the same voice but differing amounts. No bank card or account is ever identified. It is a Scam to get you to press button 1 and make your phone open to the scam

Fraud - Suggesting they were from BT regarding my broadband. I have been having problems with it but I’m aware of phony callers pretending to be providers - BT not any of the other providers would call you out of the blue so they hung up on me lol - thought you were supposed to be helping me with an issue? SCAM!!!

SPAM - eventually answered as a call centre for the "housing maintenance team" asking how I was. Hung up, blocked and reported. This is a newish number as well so either autodialing or selling numbers again.

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Robit voice Says that they are investigating your financial activity and that an arrest warrant has been issued for your arrest. Then tells you to press 1.

Same as below received emailed ebay order confirmation which states 'call us on + 20 7665 0123 to report this to our fraud protection team'. Just recently used ebay for first time in years so very suspect and definately not a genuine order. Report direct to ebay direct, not on number provided in invoice, from the online site and Actionfraud website.
