In most cases they just provide silent calls to let you call them back. DON'T DO it, it will cost you a fortune. Did someone answer any number of this range or this particular one? They called saying they work with insurers. I knew it was a scam so played with them a little. I said I was expecting their call and asked if they were from Prudential (who I am NOT insured with by the way) just to test them. The guy said yes eventually and he passed me to his manager. When I asked him about this Prudential association, I think he sussed that I was on to him and he hung up. The worrying thing is that they had my name somehow. They sounded Asian. Number is now blocked of course.

This number claimed to have been calling about my ‘recent car accident’. Out of curiosity of what this woman was going to say I said ‘Which one?’. Straight away she said ‘Ok, we’ll take you out of our system.’ Clearly this call was a scam.
