Searched Google and found they are being looked into by the FCA as they are unlicensed and are trying to sell services or products with out being registered. Said they were contacting me about a problem I had with my house - suggesting it was rented / local authority. It's not so I said they had the wrong number and they hung up. Safe number, at least when I rang them back it was some kind of agency checking on housing associations and whether they were keeping up to date with repairs. When I said I had no problems the lady said she'd update the record and that was the end of the call.

Said they were calling from (mumbled) and that thousands of pounds were being taken out of my account which they thought unusual. The dialling code was our local number thought strange but them hung up rang from another 01242 number a few minutes later but ignored
Another site shows calls started from this number on 5th March 2023 & users have searched this number several hundred times by 14:00 hrs on 6th March !!!! Rang off before I could answer!!?? An experience shared by many others checking this Robocall/Scam Call Centre number.

Would not remove my number unless I answered his questions, said he did not have the authority, then told me he was the manager it was his company apparently called Connecting People and gave his name as Sam Thomas, not surprised to see neither listed on Companies House!

NB: WHY would a GLOBAL company be calling me from same Area Code!? Probably to panic people into giving out personal details (ie Bank info)!!! Best Advise: NEVER answer call from an UNEXPECTED number you DONT KNOW, let answer phone take it. Saves you a lot of hassle!
