I am in Greece and have a Greek mobile. I had a missed call from this number. As we have UK-based clients I called the number back and the bakery had no idea what I was talking about! I have come across this before with UK numbers, can a third party somehow hijack a landline number?

This number has called me relentlessly trying to get information from me. I have bipolar and have no issues with my benefits claim. They keep stating that I need to send them my bank statements and have refused to give me her employee number or managers number or a contact for the department she works for.
SCAM! Called my mobile and an automated message spoke about a fraud on my credit card. We got cut off. When i tried to call back from a landline the number is not found!

Asked how she got my number and she said it was 'randomly generated' by a computer. Claimed to be carrying out a survey, but when asked refused to give any details about what the survey was in connection with. Hung up and blocked the number.
